MCKNIGHT VETERINARY HOSPITAL IS NOW FOCUSING ON PREVENTATIVE CARE AS A GENERAL PRACTICE.
An essential service to help detect and manage health conditions in aging pets.
As our cat’s age, their day to day changes and their daily interests and requirements also change. It is important to bring your senior cat to their doctor at least once a year to maintain a healthy life and ensure that they are receiving the care necessary to their changing life.
Cats are considered mature between the ages of 7 and 10. From age, 11 to 14 cats are considered senior, and after age 14 they are in their geriatric life stage. Signs of ageing include change in appetite, weight loss, dental disease/bad breath, decreased activity, changes in thirst, and poor hair coat.
Please schedule an appointment with a Veterinarian if your cat is losing weight. It can be an indicator of many possible problems and should not be left ignored.
