MCKNIGHT VETERINARY HOSPITAL IS NOW FOCUSING ON PREVENTATIVE CARE AS A GENERAL PRACTICE.
A vaccination plan ensures your canine companion remains protected against dangerous diseases.
Vaccinating your dog is a crucial defence against preventable diseases that can be contracted. Whether you take your pup out to the dog parks, hiking in the mountains or stay close to home and walk your local neighbourhood, all dogs should have their core vaccines so that they have the best chance to prevent these diseases. During your appointment with the veterinarian, you should discuss your lifestyle and travel plans with your dog so we can best determine the course of care necessary to keep your pup safe.
We offer Distemper, adenovirus-2, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus (Da2PPv), Kennel Cough (Bordatella), and Rabies
The frequency to which a dog needs to be vaccinated depends on the clinic and the vaccines that they carry. Aside from the initial puppy vaccine protocol, we carry 3-year vaccines at McKnight Veterinary Hospital for both DA2P and Rabies. Bordetella, or Kennel Cough, must be done yearly. We recommend coming in for an exam once a year so that we can keep an accurate record of the health of your dog.
Vaccines are the best defence against contracting diseases and illnesses that are preventable providing your pet with the longest, healthiest life possible.
Please call the hospital directly at 403-457-0911 and we can go over the cost of an exam and vaccines.
